Two model year 2007 Nissan Altima hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs) entered Accelerated testing during September 2007 in a fleet in Arizona. Each Altima will be operated for 160,000 miles each, at which point their traction batteries will be tested before they are retired. One page vehicle maintenance logs will be posted on nearby www pages. This information will include the date and mileage for all maintenance and repairs performed on the vehicles. The two Altima HEVs have been driven a total of 187,000 miles and the cumulative average fuel economy is 30.6 mpg.
